He is the Founder of the site, and has spent many hours designing the initial system and creating quality content. That was all lost, however, and this is all that's left! Terribly sorry.
Alex has been interested in cognition and the theory of the mind from a young age, notably taking a philosophy module for his french baccalaureat. He has spent countless hours analysing the behaviour of sibblings when submitted to physical communication only -- in a similar fashion to boxers interacting in morse code.
A.I. was also a major part of his undergraduate curiculum at the University of York, giving him a fresh accademic perspective on the fields of Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition, Natural Language Processing, Bayesian Networks, Constraint Statisfaction and Combinatorial Optimisation and Declarative Programming in Prolog among many others. Sadly, he spent most of his time analysing the impact of beer on the human brain, and the deterioration of perception ability and psycho-motor capacity.
Together with this, Alex has also a very keen interest in the graphics community, contributing on many occasions to Flipcode, the best development site on the net. His early years of demomaking inspiring him to write the highly acclaimed tutorial The Art of Demomaking.
He is also fascinated by computer games, and especially the development of the 3D back-end. He has a few years experience with engine programming, harware and software based. His Voxel Landscape Tutorial is a landmark in its niche.
Since he was so bad at graphics, bot development has become Alex's most recent passion, a hobby as well as a full time occupation. He is pursuing a 4th Year research project in Navigation and Spatial Awareness. He has also written a soon to be published article in AI Wisdom entitled The Dark Art of Neural Networks.
